Carl resides in Ansonia, and has been employed with CMED New Haven since 1998, he began his career in Emergency
Medical Services as a volunteer with the Ansonia Volunteer Ambulance Corps (AVAC) in 1991. After combining with the
Ansonia Civil Defense to form Ansona Rescue Medical Services in 1992, he went on to become a Lieutenant and later served as
the Captain of EMS Operations, stepping down in 2002.
He began working for Ace Ambulance Service of Fairfield in 1994, and later worked for American Medical Response
in the Bridgeport, Waterbury, and Southington Divisions as an EMT and Paramedic prior to coming to CMED in 1998.
Carl received his Paramedic Training at the UCONN/ Emergency Training Center in 1995, and received
a Bachelors Degree in Fire Science from the University of New Haven in 2004.
Carl holds certifications as a State of Connecticut Public Safety Telecommunicator, and as a National
Academy of Emergency Dispatch EMD and EMD-QI.
He is currently assigned to the Day Shift.
