David "Chumley" Davis worked part time at CMED from 1981
to 1984 while also working full time with New Haven Ambulance, and Flanagan Ambulance.
After leaving EMS he
became a police officer with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police, serving in various locations and assignments.
The MTAPD police the MTA transit system, railroads, buses, bridges and tunnels.
He also served on the Security and
Transportation Committees of the Special Olympic World Games.
He served as the Chief of Service for the Durham Volunteer
Ambulance from 1992 to 1995, and wason the board of diretcors for the South Central Regional EMS Council during those years.
He graduated
from the New Haven Sponsor Hospital Paramedic Program in 1997 and still holds his Paramedic license.
Today, David continues to work for
the MTA-PD in the New Haven office.
